Touch me and fade away,
Foreboding hidden love,
There’s nothing more to say.

Off to the church to pray,
To Jordan’s purest dove,
Touch me and fade away.

So candles dark the way,
To heaven blocked above,
There’s nothing more to say.

With robe he took this stray,
Caress without the glove,
Touch me and fade away.

Plead then his price to pay,
Knows not what I speak of,
There’s nothing more to say.

To these dirt stones I lay,
The death tool and the shove,
Touch me and fade away,
There’s nothing more to say.

Interesting construction. You could use that for "Dark" as well as for "Love". (That's not a suggestion, by the way...)

I wouldn't presume to take suggestions. But thank you for your input.

I'm certain conjuring up something for dark will be little difficulty.

Death is a funny thing. Some people get so worked up over it. It's often just a natural progression of life, though sometimes abrupt.

I think it's the abrupt part that really creates tension. If we all knew that we would live until 65 and even knew the date that we would leave this world, tension over death would grow far less.

And I think it would be easier to accept.
